Wanaka Luxury Apartments Reviews

These are near new apartments close to the edge of Lake Wanaka and a 5-10 minute walk into town. Although at night, in mid winter, a car is handy if going out to dinner - it is a very cold and brisk walk back to the apartment!! Tim, the Manager of the complex, was most friendly, polite and helpful on arrival. For the next 8 days we had no need to contact reception or Tim again. These are fully self-contained apartments with luxury amenities / appliances. Ours had a large screen LCD television, DVD player, SKY Cable TV with about 50 channels, coffee machine, full stove (oven - to bake our own tender NZ Lamb Roast and hot plates for bacon and eggs in the morning for breakfast). Also enjoyed a dishwasher, microwave and vertical recessed timber wine rack next to the fridge to store all those great NZ wines that we had with our dining-in nights.

We had a loft-style apartment with a spacious living area downstairs - timber flooring, exposed timber ceiling, open flame gas fireplace set in Schist stone, comfy large lounge chairs and separate dining area with seating for six people. Upstairs were two bedrooms; each with a clean modern bathroom and lovely heated tiled floors. One bedroom had a queen size bed with a balcony view looking out to glorious Lake Wanaka and the Alps. The other bedroom had two single beds looking out over a small stream and gardens. Our Queen size bed was faultless - plenty of pillows and every night was a great night's deep restful sleep. Both rooms had ample wardrobe space with hangers and recesses for clothes. There was also a washing machine, tumble dryer, clothes rack and free detergent to use - all tucked away in a closet out of sight.

We will most definitely be back next year for a skiing holiday and be staying here ... we just can't wait !! Very highly recommended establishment.

We were planning on staying in Wanaka for the one night before heading up to the Glaciers, after finding this gem, we extended our stay to 3 nights instead. Noelene the housekeeper is fabulous in both personality and very accommodating. Quality luxuries like flat screen TV, spa bath, DVD player and sky TV makes this place extremely comfortable. Not to mention the very very comfortable sofa and mattress. Just the comforts you require after a hard day on the slopes.

Have just returned home after a spending a week staying at these modern new townhouse-style apartments. We liked them particularly from the self-contained aspect, being able to eat-in and save $$ or dine out if we chose - and there are some great restaurants in Wanaka to enjoy as well!! The kitchen was ultra-modern with all the necessary cooking needs met. Rooms were very clean with a luxurious feel to them. The Queen Bed was firm and gave great nights sleep every night and our first floor bedroom had a balcony with views looking out to Lake Wanaka. Loved the gas flame fireplace in the lounge area to sit back and relax with a local Otago Merlot in hand to enjoy.

This was a great stay in quiet suburban surrounds in what looks like a fairly new housing estate around 1-2 years old and very close to town with a short walk to that famed Lake Wanaka and surrounding mountains.
