The Spire Reviews
My husband and I had a lovely time! Very professional and friendly staff, we loved
the personal attention we got during our 3 nights stay...Peerrrrrfect! The hotel
had stylish rooms and impeccable design all around! The Inspire restaurant which
was on the first floor, had stunning food...the waffles in the morning were our
favourite! Very low profile and classy, I would definitely recommend and come back
to stay in our next time in Queenstown. A MUST!
The Spire is a small, posh boutique hotel perfectly located in the centre of charming
Queenstown (which makes virtually everything walking distance). The rooms are amongst
the nicest I have seen with a modern but warm feeling (flat screen TV, surround
sound, fireplace, etc.). Each room has a big balcony either looking out toward a
small church or toward the lake. We had contiguous rooms with a shared entry hall,
which was ideal as we were travelling with our three young children. The service
was excellent. Very attentive front desk staff did all the scheduling of our activities.
The hotel is probably not intended for children, but they made us very welcome in
all regards.
We were most impressed with the small restaurant. The breakfasts, included in the
room rate, are to die for. Try the rosti! Unfortunately as it was fully booked we
could only get into the restaurant on our last evening. This foodie and his wife
were seriously impressed. This is fine dining at its best and would stand up in
any city in the world. Congratulations to Vita (sp?) the sommelier who really knows
her wine and made a great recommendation. I travel a lot in business and have stayed
in many of the finest hotels in the world. Although small (only 10 rooms) The Spire
had the "X" factor and impressed a normally cynical traveller. I am sure my wife
and I will be back to this special unique hotel in the future.
What an absolute delight The Spire is – such attention to detail, smiling staff,
original and exciting art and sculpture, fabulous furniture and furnishings and
a restaurant that does it proud. I cannot thank the staff enough for a wonderful
stay recently and would like to express to Chef Rex and Maitre D’ Stephanie that
the degustation menu served for my birthday was sublime. We get the chance to stay
in some of the world’s most exclusive and interesting hotels – your service and
style outshines many of them.
The Spire was an amazing place. The room was spectacular with designer furniture,
a very large and comfy bed, a large bath/shower (with a window into the bedroom
that opens over the bath) and a separate walk in closet. The non-alcoholic items
in the mini-bar are complementary. The complimentary breakfast was great. But not
only was the room amazing, the service was spectacular - they were extremely helpful
in organizing activities for us and giving us advice about Queenstown.
The Spire Hotel was great. Trendy and chic - only ten rooms. Service was perfect.
It's a great hotel in a great town. They took good care of us and made us feel very
welcome.
Definitely the best hotel that we've stayed in. Our 3-day stay included complimentary
transfers from/to the airport, in a Lexus 4x4, very nice! And the service just kept
getting better, nothing was any trouble, from dining recommendations to dropping
us at a winery and then calling back later to collect us, a round trip of about
30kms each time. The room was exquisite, beautifully furnished. And fabulous breakfasts!!
Guests are made to feel special and very welcome.
I had the most amazing experience at the Spire. Beautiful rooms. Excellent service,
delicious food and just a very positive friendly vibe. The staff went way and beyond
to make me and fellow guests comfortable and no request (reasonable requests) seemed
like trouble for them. Loved it so much that I am going back there for my honeymoon!
I will be brief for now, but The Spire is the BEST hotel I have stayed in by far--and
I have stayed in many top-rated hotel around the world. The staff were too good
to be true. They accommodated every request beyond what was expected. The rooms
are superb, the location can't be beat...trust me on this, if you are going to Queenstown,
stay at The Spire your first night...you will not want to leave...expect to cancel
any reservation you have at another location. You will be so dialled in to the town
that you will feel like you are a celebrity. This was the best vacation of my life--and
The Spire staff played an enormous role.
