The Beacon Reviews
We stayed at Peppers Beacon for 3 days as a family with a set of grandparents, a
set of parents, and a three year old. The two-bedroom apartment setup was perfect
for our family, especially when the helpful staff set up a rollaway bed in one of
the bedrooms for the child. It was a tight squeeze with the extra bed, but it was
worth it to have the spacious rest of the apartment, and we were upgraded to a lake
view, which was stunning and totally made our experience. The kitchen was well furnished
with full size fridge, dishwasher, and dishes, and there were laundry machines in
the apartment (free and soap was supplied). We also found the staff to be extremely
cheerful and helpful. The apartment was so comfortable we found ourselves picking
up provisions at the Alpine supermarket and just staying in for dinner each night!
This is one of the best places we stayed on our 3-week trip to New Zealand. It is
close enough to town to be a short walk, but still away from the noise and hustle
and bustle. And the views of the lake, especially with the steamship going to and
fro, were spectacular.
We were in a tenth floor apartment; wonderful views and rooms kitted out well. Convenient
location and friendly staff.
We loved the Peppers Beacon in Queenstown while on our honeymoon in New Zealand.
We arrived to lovely staff, music playing in our room, and were so impressed by
the lake views from our huge balcony. The hotel was perfectly situated 5 minutes
from the center of town. The quick walk is lovely with the lake and mountain views.
Our room had a gas fireplace that we enjoyed at night. The hotel was very clean.
Angela at the front desk helped us plan our daily activities. Her great references
made our stay in Queenstown even better!
