Cardrona Ski Field - Wanaka

Cardrona Alpine Resort is nestled amongst the mountains of New Zealand's incomparable South Island. A spectacular 65 minute drive from Queenstown brings you to Cardrona from the South while Wanaka rests 35 minutes to the North. Everyone is welcome at Cardrona. Cardrona has specialists shops for beginners, wide open groomed slopes for intermediates, chutes for advanced, and an extensive park for freestylers.

Ski Field Opens: late June to early October.

Coronet Peak Ski Field - Queenstown

Coronet Peak’s 280 skiable hectares are accessed by a six seater express chair, an express quad, a double chair and T-bar. Recently expanded, the dedicated beginner slopes with twin conveyer lifts makes learning fun and easy for novices. This area and the beginner tow has its own snowmaking. Coronet Peak is a short 25 minute (18km) drive along a fully sealed road from Queenstown.

Mt Hutt Ski Field - Methven

Located at the foot of the Southern Alps 2086m above sea level, Canterbury’s Mt Hutt is devoted to its laidback and genuine Kiwi atmosphere. Its breathtaking views on a clear day stretch across the Canterbury Plains all the way from the Pacific Ocean to Aoraki Mt Cook. A vast mountain with 472 hectares of diverse terrain, Mt Hutt is at once relaxed, friendly, challenging and exciting. Mt Hutt is just over 1 hours drive from Christchurch and 35 minutes drive from Methven.

Ski Field Opens: 12th June to 17th October.

The Remarkables Ski Field - Queenstown

Situated high in The Remarkables mountain range and surrounded by craggy peaks, The Remarkables Alpine Park provides a spectacular, true alpine environment. Extending over 700 hectares of reserve land, there’s 220 skiable hectares accessed by three quad chairs within three sunny, wide open bowls. From the first timer through to those who like to be challenged by narrow chutes, rock drops and off-piste powder, The Remarkables is all about fun, families, freestyle and the love of the big mountain enviroment.

Ski Field Opens: 19th June to 10th October.

Treble Cone Ski Field - Wanaka

Covering 550 hectares, Treble Cone is the largest ski area in the South Island. With the longest vertical rise in the Southern Lakes (705m), longest groomed intermediate runs (4km) and spectacular views over Lake Wanaka and Mount Aspiring, Treble Cone can claim some of the most exhilarating skiing and snowboarding conditions in the country. From the purpose-built learner area with a magic carpet lift, to comfortable green and blue runs, through challenging black runs and secret powder stashes, Treble Cone has great terrain for all levels and abilities.

Cheeseman Ski Field - Wanaka

Mount Cheeseman is the second closest ski area to Christchurch. The ski field is a sunny east to south east basin with open rolling terrain. With great beginner and intermediate slopes, Mount Cheeseman is perfect for learners and families. Two T Bars give easy access to well groomed gentle terrain and the Learners Tow is located right beside the main lodge.

Craigieburn Ski Field - Wanaka

Craigieburn Valley Ski Area, Located in the heart of New Zealand's Southern Alps, where the ups are good; the downs are even better. Steep narrow chutes, wide open powder bowls, un-crowded runs or just a place to take it easy in the awesome vista of the Craigieburn Range. If you are an advanced or expert rider then Craigieburn is your holy grail.

Mt Lyford Ski Field - Wanaka

Mount Lyford Alpine Resort is a freehold mountain property in the South Island of New Zealand. Situated approximately 1 hour 30 minutes by road north of the main city Christchurch and International Airport. The area is ideally located at the southern end of the seaward Kaikoura mountain range, between the thermal resort town of Hanmer Springs and the Eco-tourism town of Kaikoura only 50minutes drive to either destination.

Ohau Ski Field - Wanaka

Ohau Snow Fields is all about fun and friendliness where people are important. Being a smaller area you get to know the people on the hill. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere in the Day Lodge is one of community. Having skied down to the chair lift from the car park the "bottom lifty" will advise you where the best runs are and then he will be checking on your next run to see if he was right.

Porters Ski Field - Wanaka

Porters ski field offers wide range of slopes to suit every ability with the Big Mama run being the longest, steepest single slope in the Southern Hemisphere. Just 89km from Christchurch, Porters is home of superb snow conditions for skiing and snowbarding in the Canterbury region.

Roundhill Ski Field - Mackenzie

Roundhill Ski Field is located next to the Mackenzie countries beautiful lake Tekapo, having a relaxed atmosphere thats perfect for family ski holidays. Roundhill has a great mix of terrain for any skiing level.

It's world-renowned for it's conditions. It's one of the few places where you can sleep in lodges right on the field and literally roll out of bed onto the slopes.
