Merivale Manor Reviews
Our Studio room was well appointed, modern and clean. Plasma screen, airconditioning,
refridgerator and cooking facilities. There was a lovely spa bath and separate shower.
Merivale is very close to Downtown Christchurch, a number of buses pass by and Merivale
itself boasts a number of good restaurants and pubs. I would highly recommend this
establishment as it caters for couples and families.
My wife and I stayed in one of the apartments; they are modern units with free Broadband,
free parking, full Sky TV and a great location with anything you need within walking
distance. In addition the folks working there were great and very willing to help
us with several unique issues we needed to deal with. If you don't mind the steps,
and need an apartment, stay here.
Room was very nice and spacious with lovely high ceilings, and decorated in a very
modern style but in line with the character of the manor. 42" plasma screen and
sky, and full kitchen amenities. Lots of space - there was a sofa, small table &
chairs and good heating / ventilation options (air con / heatpump, fan or windows).
Didn't get a chance to use the stereo provided Location good - 5 mins walk up to
the shopping area with a few decent restaurants and we tried the indian (Little
India) and the italian place (Tutto Bene) which were pretty good. Found this accommodation
to be much better value than hotels. Service - good and responsive, office is not
manned but call button goes through to portable phone. Laundry available next to
office (didn't use though).
