Please do yourself a big favour and pay the little extra for an apartment - you
will not regret it. The one bedroom is a perfect size, you can look at the view
from your bed (there is a fold out/sliding wall to separate the bedroom from living
area if you need privacy) and it is so quiet. Bed comfy - though a little on the
soft side - bathroom luxurious, great kitchen appliances.
This newly built, modern 1 bedroom apartment was overlooking the lake and mountains.
It sure was a room with a view. This hotel is not recommended if you do not have
a vehicle, for it is about a 12-15 minute walk from the down area. The hotel has
a little gym, spa and bbq area which can be freely used. Would most definitely stay
again and not look anywhere during my second visit to Queenstown. Staff were nice
and friendly. In fact, they do not clean the apartments unless if booked for a week,
however, our beds were always made and bathroom cleaned by the housekeeping.
The apartment was large, very well furnished, with a flat screen TV & 2 sofas, a
large bed, small kitchen area with fridge / washing machine, and a lovely bathroom
with a super powerful shower. But the best thing is the view. The patio is made
up of wall to ceiling windows, which open all the way across on to one of the most
stunning views I have ever seen. Took about 5 minutes to walk down into town, about
15 minutes to get back (up a steep hill but manageable), or taxis were very cheap
if you need to save your energy. Would definitely stay here again. By the way, we
didn't use the 2nd bedroom as there were only 2 of us. If there were 4 of you then
there would be serious arguments about who slept where as the 2nd room was at the
back with a view of the carpark, whereas the main room is off the living area &
so enjoys the amazing view!
