Coronation Lodge Reviews
My sister and I stayed at the Coronation Lodge for a few days in August and it was
a great place to stay. The lodge is just a short walk through the Queenstown Gardens
to the central downtown area. The room was great. We had a lot of bed space, and
there were bed warmers in all of them (something you would think would be standard
in NZ in winter, but really isn't. The room was extremely clean, and is relatively
new.
Very clean. Nicely (simply) appointed. Great customer service. Excellent location
to town (short walk). Some street noise thru the large widows, but otherwise quiet
on the 2nd floor. There are wood floors throughout, so a room on the 1st floor might
be noisy, especially if it's close to the reception area. Coin-op laundry facility
was convenient.
We stayed here for three nights in June, following a snowstorm that delayed us,
and many others, in getting to Queenstown during its Winter Festival. The facility
is gleaming, with wonderful beds and sleek, modern furnishings, very cool bathrooms
and great personal care products. We had a well-equipped kitchenette with microwave
and appreciated the nice selection of coffee, tea and cookies. You can have breakfast
on-site if you want, though we prepared our own. The location is unbeatable - just
across the street from a path to the town centre and within walking distance of
plenty of attractions. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
