Hotel very well situated with an attractive view over Victoria Park. Room was large
bright and airy with good storage space. The dining room had a good view over the
park and served a lovely breakfast. We particularly appreciated the friendly and
welcoming service from all staff in the hotel.
The hotel was great in every way. The location is superb. Right in the heart of
things, but not a noisy location. The rooms were clean and very nice. An inexpensive
room consisted of a 2-room suite (living and bedroom.) The staff was extremely kind
and helpful. The best part was the reasonable price. I certainly recommend it if
you are looking for a great value at this price. Paid internet access available
in the lobby - which is quite nice with a cafe/bar. Right across from beautiful
Victoria Square and right on the trolley stop. Can't be beat!
We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Copthorne. We were upgraded to
a better room with no extra charge and the staff was extremely friendly. The hotel
is located a short walk to the downtown shopping and restaurants. Get a coupon or
two from the hotel to eat at the casino across the street. Each coupon is worth
$NZ 5 and they may be combined.
