What we really loved about this place is that it is away from the hustle and bustle
of Queenstown. It was extremely peaceful and if we wanted to go into town we could
drive or catch the bus (we did both). Though we were not in a lake view room we
could still see over the hotel to the mountains and some of the lake. The food was
excellent the room was spacious and very clean and the staff went out of their way
to make our stay enjoyable. We love coming to Queenstown and when we do come back
we would definitely stay at the Aspen on Queenstown.
We had a lake-view room during the time of stay at Aspen last year. It couldn't
be beat. The room was fabulous, very clean and tidy. Staff there were very helpful.
But best of all was the lake view, really breath taking all day. In addition, the
buffet dinner should not be missed. Food was tasty and nice. We really enjoyed our
time there.
The hotel was beautiful. It was about 5 minutes from town by cab (if your looking
for something in town, this is not the hotel for you) and it was so peaceful!! I
sat out on my balcony and had a complete view of the lake. It was amazing!! This
hotel was in such beautiful spot-I think the cab driver told me that this hotel
has the best view of the lake and the Remarkables (the mountain chain along the
lake)-I believe him. The room was fully equipped with everything I needed. It wasn't
a luxury hotel and that wasn't what I expected. It was just a unique quaint hotel
that was very pleasant. There is a little convenience store at the corner (called
the corner store) so if you needed any sundries, it was a 2 minute walk from the
hotel room. Shopping buses run periodically throughout the day, so if you didn't
want to take a cab, they are very convenient-they take you right into town. Overall,
I was extremely happy I picked this hotel. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable
stay-I would definitely go back!!
